On 2 August 2025, Amplifin proudly joined thousands of women and supporters at SuperSport Park in Centurion for the annual SPAR Women’s Challenge, themed Twenty20Thrive (Time to Thrive).
This year’s event was bigger than ever, with over 17,000 participants celebrating fitness, unity, and empowerment. Amplifin was represented by 55 enthusiastic participants, each crossing the finish line with pride, determination, and a bit of perspiration.
For Amplifin, the significance of the Challenge extends far beyond the finish line. As a business rooted in South Africa, we recognise our responsibility to actively support the communities in which we operate. That is why we are committed to aligning ourselves with initiatives that have tangible local impact, creating ripples of positive change far beyond the event itself.
Equally, we believe in supporting the wellbeing of our own people. Encouraging our staff to live healthy, active lifestyles is part of how we cultivate resilience, teamwork, and balance.
The Challenge formed part of SPAR’s My SPAR My Community campaign, raising more than R350,000 in support of vital causes, including:
- Early childhood development initiatives
- Educational support programmes
- Efforts to combat gender-based violence
- Burn victim care at the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital
A key highlight was the SPAR End Period Poverty campaign, which continues to push toward the goal of eradicating period poverty by 2030. Thanks to the generosity of participants and donors, 4,000 girls will now be able to remain in school for another month, breaking down barriers to education and opportunity.
We look forward to growing our Amplifin team even more at next year’s Challenge, as we continue to walk, run, and stand for progress together.
